What delivery percentage is
Not every share traded in a day changes hands for keeps. Some trades are squared off the same day, and some are settled by actual delivery. Delivery percentage is the share of a day's traded quantity that was settled by delivery, as reported by the exchange. AvFinIQ shows it, and the delivered quantity, for each stock in the Screener's results.
Delivery trend
A single day's figure can be noisy, so AvFinIQ also tracks how delivery has moved over recent sessions. The breakout scanner uses that trend alongside volume, so you can see whether a price move came with rising or falling delivery.
How to use it
Treat delivery as one more input, next to price, volume and the company's fundamentals. For example, you might look at stocks breaking out with rising delivery, then open their fundamentals and shareholding history before forming a view.
What it does not tell you
High delivery does not prove that large investors are buying, and it does not predict a price rise. Delivery can be high for many reasons, including settlement patterns and index rebalancing. Low delivery does not mean a move will reverse.
